Sip, Stroll, and Savor: Art, Wine & Jazz Fest in Downtown Bellefontaine

This Saturday, September 7th, from 2 to 5 PM, the heart of Downtown Bellefontaine will come alive with the vibrant sounds of jazz, the rich aromas of wine, and the captivating beauty of local art. The Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership is proud to present the Art, Wine & Jazz - Second Line Fest, an event that promises to be an unforgettable afternoon of culture, flavor, and celebration. Sponsored by The Steinhelfer Firm and Minnich Law Offices, this ticketed event offers a unique opportunity to explore the community while indulging in global wine selections and enjoying live entertainment.

Discover the World of Wine

At the Art, Wine & Jazz Fest, wine lovers will have the chance to embark on a tasting journey featuring wines from all corners of the globe. Whether you prefer a crisp sauvignon blanc from New Zealand, a bold cabernet sauvignon from California, or a rich Malbec from Argentina, this event has something for every palate. The wine tasting experience is expertly curated by Bella Vino Events & Wine Room, ensuring that each pour highlights the diversity and richness of wines from renowned wine-producing regions around the world.

Your ticket grants you access to sample 10 wines of your choice, and tastings will take place at various downtown businesses. As you stroll from one location to another, you’ll have the chance to explore local shops, meet fellow wine enthusiasts, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Downtown Bellefontaine.

Live Jazz & Street Performances

Setting the mood for the day will be a local jazz band performing throughout the event. Their soulful melodies will fill the air as you sip and savor each wine selection, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and sophisticated afternoon. Additionally, street musician Pete Moss will be performing live, adding his easy-listening vibes to the mix. The combination of jazz and street music will make this event feel like a mini New Orleans festival right in the heart of Bellefontaine.

Join the Second Line Parade

One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s fest is the addition of a second line parade. A second line parade is a lively tradition rooted in New Orleans culture, often seen at jazz funerals and community celebrations. Participants follow a brass band through the streets, dancing and waving handkerchiefs or parasols, celebrating the spirit of the occasion. At the Art, Wine & Jazz Fest, you’ll have the chance to join in the fun as the second line winds through the streets of downtown, following the jazz performance. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the afternoon, bringing a festive, upbeat close to the event.
